Principal’s Message:

This week is National Assistant Principal’s week so I am dedicating my principal’s message to Greenspun’s three amazing assistant principals: Mr. Vince Bognot, Ms. Katja Hermes, and Ms. Casandra Iglitz.

I would like to give a special shout out to them for the leadership they display in fulfilling their endless responsibilities as administrators. Their commitment as they work together each day contributes to a positive and safe school environment.

Their dedication does not go unnoticed, and I appreciate all they do!!!

Events & Honors:

SBAC Testing: The Reading SBAC exams are now behind us, and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s efforts in helping to ensure a successful testing session! Please remind your child to charge and bring their Chromebook on testing days. The mathematics SBAC will be on March 22-23. Students should report to their testing room locations at 8:00am.

Student Council: Your Greenpsun Student Council members have won the prestigious Spirit of Nevada Award. There will be an award ceremony in their honor on May 7 at Cimarron High School. A big shout out to Lucas Rodriguez and Elisabeth Austin who worked for weeks to get the scrapbook completed!

2025 Summer School for Current 8th Grade Students - Credit Retrieval & High School Advancement: CCSD is offering in-person and online summer school for middle school credit retrieval and high school credit advancement for students entering 9th grade. Parents of 8th Grade students, please review the summer school information on the Google form below and complete the form by May 16, 2025, to request enrollment.

GVHS Football: Attention All Athletes! Are you ready for High School Football Season 2025-2026? If you’re interested in playing football this upcoming season, don’t miss our Informational Meeting at Green Valley High School!

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: Do you want an easy and fun way to celebrate your child's birthday at school? For $15, we will display a short message on the outdoor digital marquee to help celebrate the day. Additionally, a bag of treats and a personalized birthday card will be delivered to your child during the school day. All funds raised help support Greenspun clubs and activities. Infinite Campus Parent portal/Student portal: Parents, please continue to monitor your child’s grades in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need an activation code, please contact the office for assistance.
