Hello Dolphins! Serving as the Greenspun Junior High School principal is a privilege that I value immensely. I came from the hills of West Virginia as a high school English teacher to continue my career in sunny Las Vegas. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism at Bethany College in WV and my Masters in Educational Leadership through UNLV and Nova University. One of the most exciting moments in my educational journey was opening Green Valley High School as an English instructor, its inaugural year in 1991. During my 23 year stay there as a teacher, dean, and assistant principal, I became invested in the Green Valley community. When I was given the opportunity to serve as the Greenspun principal, I was honored and excited to continue my journey in the same community, only this time with younger children. My priority is to continually collaborate with our amazing staff to foster a safe and welcoming environment as we provide our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible, productive citizens. I invite all of our family and community members to join us as we teach our children they are valued, and we continually remind them to reach for the stars so their hopes and dreams can become reality.

It is an honor to serve as the assistant principal at Greenspun Junior High School. I am a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, who received public education in the Clark County School District. I attended Grambling State University, earning a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, and continued my learning at the University of Las Vegas-Nevada, receiving a Master's in Educational Leadership. As an urban and transformational leader with 20 years of experience in education, I know the importance of good teaching and outstanding leadership that galvanizes the school community to support student learning. I believe that all students can and will exceed our district’s initiatives when given the right resources, systems, and tools. I am invested, committed, and connected to ensure all students have equal access to education that supports and promotes their college and career pathways. Let’s have an enjoyable, unforgettable, and memorable school year. I can’t wait to see you around the school campus. Go, Dolphin Nation!

Greetings Greenspun community. I am excited to be a part of all of the learning, athletics, and activities that are unique to this school. In addition to making Las Vegas my home for 23 years, I have also lived in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, and Germany. On weekends you can find me enjoying the outdoors on my paddleboard or in my kayak. Volunteering in the community with a therapy dog through Michael’s Angel Paws and cleaning trails through Friends of Nevada Wilderness is also an important part of my freetime. My teaching background includes special education, post-high school transition, student centered self determination, and inclusion. Drawing from experience I have gained working at the elementary, middle, and high school level, I understand all of the complexities of the educational process. I am passionate about working with students to be successful in all aspects of their lives. My hope this year is to share a fabulous journey together with the teachers, students, and families at Greenspun and alway keep moving forward.

Hello! As a lifelong resident of the Green Valley community in Henderson, Nevada, it is truly an honor and privilege to serve as one of your assistant principals at Greenspun Junior High School. I am a proud product of the Clark County School District and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to earn both my Bachelor’s in Secondary Education in Social Studies and Master’s in Educational Policy and Leadership. Throughout my time in the classroom as a U.S. Government teacher, I was recognized as an innovative and highly effective educator, emphasizing the importance of working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that ALL students receive a high-quality education. Some of my fondest memories and experiences in CCSD took place as a middle schooler during my formative years, which led to my love of teaching others. It is my goal to support students, families, and staff to ensure that all students at Greenspun JHS feel welcomed, regardless of their background, that all students thrive and are fully engaged in their academics, and that all students grow to be active and engaged citizens. I am looking forward to working with the entire Greenspun community! GO DOLPHINS!

It is with great enthusiasm and dedication that I join the wonderful community of educators, parents, and students at Greenspun Junior High School. I have lived in the Henderson community since 1999. I am a three-time UNLV graduate with degrees in Special Education and Education and Policy Leadership. I have taught in CCSD for over 20 years in elementary and secondary settings. I am excited to collaborate closely with our talented educators to ensure our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in college or careers. In my free time, I am usually volunteering for the National Charity League with my two daughters or attending baseball games with my family. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Greenspun family. Go Dolphins!
